Heard this song for the first time today and just had to sit back and really listen to it four or five times to really appreciate it. This song is so melodic and sultry; its sounds are beautiful. This remix of it is actually better, in my opinion, than the original. I'd never heard this band until I came across this song on an album of remixes and they are good! Beautiful singing and very simple instruments. Lovelife.

Christmas Relaxation

So I'm home for Christmas/Winter(because we don't want to exemplify certain religions holidays) break and I have been Oh So Busy! Been hitting the gym daily still and have been having to purchase gifts and what not. That initial feeling of being on break is great but I'm not looking forward to getting to the stage where my think is, "when's break gonna be over?" Either way, it's been a nice break. I've listened to Bonobo for quite some time and he is all instrumentals. His music relaxes me and puts me in a good mood, great music for getting stuff done! Lovelife.

Studyfilled Day

So I woke this morning, just like I do everyday, this song was amongst the first few that I heard. I'd heard it many times before but it it was much better hearing it this morning. It is just an instrumental, which is along the lines of my favorite genre, and it soothed me. I am about to head for a great morning, coffee/English mcmuffin at Starbucks with Shannon Reader then we'll head over to McCarthy athletic center and watch the movie Nightmare Before Christmas! She's never seen it so I'm looking forward to having it blow her mind! Tim Burton is awesome! Then back to my dorm for a day of studies. Just have to study for my English Final, and finish up my Chinese final; I'm not planning on being a teacher but I have to write a class lesson plan for my class. Awesome! Lovelife.

Wiz Khalifa continues to blow up the music scene! He has been receiving a lot of recognition for his music which he totally deserves. When he first came onto the scene all of his music was free on the website. I don't know how he would make any profit or any type of career out of that but a lot of artists that are on the rise do it. Ex. Dom Kennedy, Sugar Tongue Slim, etc... I have so much respect for all of these artists because of their recognition of money not being success. Either way, I hope you all enjoy this post. Lovelife.

Oh yeah!

Just heard this song for the first time in a long time. It made me smile and really brightened my day up, not that that was necessary at all. Went to my two classes to quickly end the day, one of which was not really a class, it was more of a quick list of announcements. Now I just need to pack and get all ready for Thanksgiving break! Can't wait to leave at 2:45 in the morning tomorrow....on train haha Lovelife.

With the beat taken from Mike Posner's song "You Don't Have to Leave" Casfly does a fantastic job of making. The song is just about relaxing and enjoying summer. I wish time sped up and got to summer where school can be out and I can be in Zambezi finally! Oh well, winters are still awesome with the mountains covered in snow. Non-Music Post

Okay, I know this is a music blog but I just felt the need to share this. This story is pure beauty.

There's one quote that sticks out to me. "Dad, when I'm running I feel like my disability disappears." The Father, Dick, is the most inspirational character in this story. The devotion to his son is something that not everyone has and I think it's amazing. I hope to have children one day that will inspire me in such ways.

There is one song that is played at the 7.35 mark called "My Name is Lincoln" by Steven Jablonsky which is amazing. I get chills whenever I listen to this song. Lovelife.

I heard this song for the first time the other night and loved the melody and guitar in it. I never thought Mint Royale could create such a melodic and mellow tune. I was wrong. Lovelife.

Just heard this song for the first time in quite some time, I have it from the 8 mile soundtrack. I love the beat and the consistent rhythms and rhymes. Gangstarr is classic Hip-hop. Lovelife.

I forgot about Owen Pallet since highschool when something yesterday just sparked a memory of his music. His artistry with the violin is so beautiful, it makes you reminisce of the old, classic instruments we used to have being so prominent in the creation of music. I love how simple he keeps his music and the fact that he plays everything himself with the loopback feature. He creates beauty. Lovelife.

Just heard about Maino due to the show World Of Jenks the other day. Was a real good show. It looked over the controversies of his life and about the rough times that he had been through, it looked at how much family meant to him. How he would give his life up if it were his kids or him. Lovelife

White Blank Page is one of my favorite songs. The emotion you can hear in his voice is beautiful. I'm hoping that the band The Danger Bears will attempt such a song. This is a song that I could see Dane Breslin performing, his vocals and the way he normally screams with personified emotions. The guitar in this is also something that I think Claire Fieberg would tear up! So please, attempt it!

One of my favorite songs. It's uplifting and just puts me in a great mood. "Sometimes the body needs to feel stressed to appreciate the joy" is the one line that means a lot to me. I've had to deal with lots of stress as of late, so I can completely agree. Lovelife.

Just heard this song for the first time tonight; right in the middle of my 5 page essay for English. I had been researching Mrs. Dalloway and Notes From Underground all night! Finally getting this midterm in tomorrow though. I'm ready to hang out and relax this weekend. I'm also really psyched because next weekend is fall family weekend! My Mum and Jim are coming up to visit Patick and I. It's gonna be nice not having to cook for the weekend. And I guess it'll be nice to see the fam. Heard this song just a few months ago. Didn't realize how melodic music could be. It's a bit of a weird video but the music is the real purpose I threw it up. The song is so basic, just using beats; it really wouldn't fit for someone to rap over it. I hope I can snowboard to it this winter. Lovelife.

Ceremony

I'm supposed to be writing 2 essays, both of which are due tomorrow at 1pm, but sadly I can't. I was in the library for a few hours today and went to the grocery store and just want to sit back and relax. I haven't had dinner yet but its okay. I'll cook some late tonight. I just heard this song again tonight and it relaxed me. I just think of this video whenever I hear it too. Marc Johnson is somewhat philosophical in this sequence and I just have to respect him. I used to skate but was never very good; did a 3 stair once and that was the most I could do. Now I snowboard.
